This pilot aims to evaluate the system’s lighting efficiency, reliability, and its capability to function in the coastal environment of the site. The findings from this trial will help determine if the technology is viable for broader application across other areas.
iLamp’s innovative system integrates multiple functionalities into a singular lighting pole. Each unit is equipped with LED lighting, a 360-degree solar panel, and battery storage, allowing it to independently generate and store electricity, eliminating the need for a conventional grid connection. Additionally, the platform offers edge-computing capabilities, which allow data processed by equipment on the pole to be managed locally, reducing the need to forward all information to a centralized system.
Upon installation, the system will undergo meticulous monitoring based on technical and operational standards set for the project. The IEC will review these results to decide on any potential expansion or further deployment.
